CLEVELAND — The Georgia State Patrol on Monday released details of Friday's wreck involving a tractor-trailer truck in White County.
Cpl. Nick Jenkins of GSP Post 6 in Gainesville said that around 11:45 a.m. Friday Trooper Jordan Stamey responded to a traffic crash in White County on Ga. 255, just east of Small Pond Drive.
A tractor-trailer chicken hauler owned by Mar-Jac Transportation LLC, was traveling east on Ga. 255, the report states. For unknown reasons, the truck exited the south side of the road, struck the south ditch, traveled up an embankment, then overturned onto its left side and slid east in the south ditch.
The driver, Walter A. Turcios of Gainesville, was injured in the crash and transported by ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
A passenger, Dwayne Morris of Homer, was not injured.
