GAINESVILLE — The 5th annual North Georgia All-Star Classic had a little of everything Saturday at the Gainesville gym.
The Hall County All-star teams split against the area All-stars. The area All-stars took a 51-47 win over the Hall County team in the girls game while the Hall County boys All-stars held off the area team, 80-72.
In the individual skills competitions, Kierra Knight from Flowery Branch for the girls and Jack Howard of Lumpkin County for the boys won the 3-point contests while Banks County's Zezmon Steeple won the dunk contest in a final duel with Gainesville's D'Marcus Simmonds, who missed on his final attempt.
Simmonds was named the MVP for the boys. Scheckinah Bimpa of Loganville was named the girls MVP.
