An entertainer who has found himself in trouble in Hall County in recent weeks spent some time in jail in Fulton County Friday.
Georgia News Network and CBS 46 report comedian Katt Williams was accused of simple battery and theft in an altercation with a group of women in Atlanta. He talked with reporters after posting bond in Atlanta, saying his celebrity status is an issue in the arrests.
Williams was arrested twice in Hall County - once for an alleged assault on an employee at a pool supply store on Dawsonville Highway and a second time for an altercation involving his bodyguard at Williams' home on Lake Lanier.
He was already in custody in Hall County Friday but was transferred to Atlanta to face accusations from the women that he assaulted one of them and then stole all their cellphones.
