The man wanted for holding up the CVS Pharmacy in Braselton last week was arrested Friday afternoon at the Mall of Georgia.
Marcel Jamal Williams, 20, of Millhaven Circle in Auburn, Ga. was arrested by Gwinnett County police officers at the YouFit Club on Buford Drive, following a tip from a 911 caller. A police report said Williams was wearing a blue hoodie and a blonde wig at the time of his arrest.
Since Wednesday night, Braselton police investigators had been looking for a suspect in the armed robbery of the CVS store at 7395 Spout Springs Road. Officers said the suspect entered the store around 7 p.m. on March 2 and demanded money from a store clerk.
Braselton police took Williams into custody in Gwinnett County and transported him to the Hall County Jail. Williams remains in jail without bond on one count of armed robbery. Hall County Sheriff's officials said Williams faces a first court appearance Monday.
