GRAY — Chestatee's program-best start came to a crashing end Tuesday in the Jones County Christmas Tournament.
The Lady War Eagles fell to Class AAAAA fifth-ranked Warner Robins 78-29 in the semifinals.
The Warner Robins (12-0) offense was too much for the Chestatee (13-1) defense.The Lady Demons opened with a 24-4 first quarter and extended the lead to 47-15 by halftime. Warner Robins led 67-19 heading into the fourth quarter.
Lindsey Caudell paced Chestatee with 15 points.
The Lady War Eagles will play in the third-place game at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
