GRAY — The Chestatee girls remained the only unbeaten in Class AAAA after rallying for a 49-47 win over West Laurens in overtime Monday in the Jones County Christmas Tournament.
The victory pushed the Lady War Eagles (13-0) into the semifinals where they will take on Warner Robins at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
Chestatee led 12-10 after the first quarter but was held to just three points in the second quarter to fall behind 18-15 by halftime. The Lady War Eagles trimmed the lead to 30-28 heading into the fourth quarter and set the game ro overtime with a 43-43 tie. They poutscored the Lady Raiders (4-7) 6-4 in overtime.
Lindsey Caudell poured in 26 points to pace Chestatee. Becca Eddins added eight points, Eramiss Hernandez had five, and Maggie McNair and Morgan Bryant four points each for the Lady War Eagles.
