JEFFERSON — The Class AAAA No. 7 Jefferson girls were too much for Dawson County Saturday in a non-region battle at The Arena.
The Lady Dragons (7-3) used a 24-7 second quarter to blow open a close game en route to a 65-45 win. They outscored Dawson County 40-14 in the second and third quarters combined.
Abi Chatham led Dawson County with 14 points, including four 3-pointers. Kaylee Sticker added 13 points for the Lady Tigers.
Dawson County (3-8) had its two-game win streak snapped with the loss.
Dawson County next will play host to Habersham Central on Monday.
Jefferson will travel to North Hall on Tuesday.
