GAINESVILLE — The Chestatee girls basketball team accomplished two things Friday night in its 44-28 win over Lumpkin County at home.
The win kept the Lady War Eagles (11-0,1-0 Region 7-AAAA) and was the 200th for coach Web Daniel, who been at the helm for the past 12 seasons.
Chestatee opened the game with a 14-2 run and never looked back. The Lady War Eagles took a 23-12 lead into halftime and increased it 30-16 heading into the fourth quarter.
Lindsey Caudell continued her hot start to the season pouring in 24 points. Dawndria Bell and Brooklyn Popham had six points apiece for the Lady War Eagles.
Chestatee next will travel to Forsyth Central on Saturday. Tip-off is slated for 4 p.m.
