MT. AIRY — Chestatee opened the game with a 24-7 run and then cruised to a 59-43 win over Habersham Central Friday night in boys basketball action.
The War Eagles (3-4) took a 40-23 lead into halftime. Both teams scored 19 points in the second half as Chestatee never relinquished the big lead.
Cooper Wilson paced Chestatee with 11 points. Donovan Hernandez added seven points, 10 rebounds, and six assists and Barron King had seven points and eight rebounds for the War Eagles.
Caleb Hodges led Habersham Central (0-6) with 13 points. Caleb Gaines had 11 points for the Raiders.
Chestatee will travel to Lumpkin County (2-4) and Habersham Central will travel to Stephens County on Saturday.
