DEMOREST — Already off to a strong start, the Lakeview Academy boys basketball team made a statement on Tuesday.
The Lions defeated East Hall 95-79 to stay undefeated and claim the Piedmont Hardwood Classic crown in Demorest.
Lakeview's Drew Cottrell rained down 31 points en route to being named the tournament MVP. Meanwhile, Tre Gober added 24 points and Josh Randolph scored 20, grabbed 14 rebounds and provided eight assists. Randolph was also named to the all-tournament team. Carter Reeves also provided 10 points for the Lions (3-0).
Lakeview plays again at 6 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 29) against St. Francis in Gainesville (only the boys teams will play).
