Gwinnett high school vandalized with political graffiti

Gwinnett County Schools officials are reviewing surveillance video to determine who spray painted politically charged graffiti at Collins Hill High School in Suwanee overnight Monday.

"It included hate speech, and referenced both candidates from the recent presidential election," said Sloan Roach, school system spokeswoman.

Maintenance crews have cleaned up the damage, which also included some banners being torn out of the school's football stadium.

"It included statements spray painted on the sidewalk, on signage in the stadium and on five trailers," said Roach in an email.

The school resource officer will investigate the situation, and Roach said the system's goal is the prosecute the culprit.

Gwinnett schools are out for the week of Thanksgiving, so no students were on campus Tuesday.
