GAINESVILLE — The Chestatee girls got off to an impressive start Friday night beating Johnson 65-7 in both teams' season openers.
The Lady War Eagles (1-0) jumped out to a quick lead in the first quarter and led 23-4. They extended the lead to 37-6 by halftime.
Chestatee held Johnson to just 1 point and no field goals in the second half.
Lindsey Caudell paced Chestatee with 11 points. Dawndria Bell added 10 points and Callyssa Tyler had seven for the Lady War Eagles. Nicole Sedwick and Alex Edmonds each had six points and Per Satterfield finished with five points for the Lady War Eagles.
Chestatee next will play host to Jackson County On Saturday with a 4 p.m. tip.
