OAKWOOD — The Johnson girls softball team finished with its best record in five years after beating Discovery 12-0 in four innings Tuesday in the season finale.
The win pushed the Lady Knights to a 9-10 finish for the season.
Cassie Morgan got the win in the circle tossing a one-hitter and striking out four.
Morgan also provided a quick start in the first inning with a three-run home run scoring Ashlin Thurman and Ashley Thomas, who both reached on walks to open the game.
In the second inning Morgan got another huge hit with a three-run double to push the lead to 9-0 after a six-run inning.
Johnson added three more in the fourth to seal the game.
The Lady Knights were led during the season by six seniors, Caitlyn Wilson, Emeley Avitia, Victoria Martin, Cassie Morgan, Kimberly Orellano and Alejandra Delgado.
