Softball: Region 6-3A in full swing to highlight Wednesday action

Region 6-3A will be in full swing on Wednesday, with six of the eight teams locked in crucial region contests.

First place Lumpkin County (11-2, 5-0 Region 6-3A) will put its unbeaten record up against Pickens (6-3, 5-2 Region 6-3A) at home. The Lady Indians have won four straight and the Dragonettes have won three straight and sit in third place at the moment.

Second-place Dawson County (10-4, 3-1 Region 6-3A) plays host to Chestatee (2-6, 0-6 Region 6-3A) while White County (4-5, 1-3 Region 6-3A) heads to GAC (4-5, 1-4 Region 6-3A) looking to hang onto fifth place in the standings.

In Region 8-3A, Jefferson (10-1, 2-1 Region 8-3A) will play host to Monroe Area (8-3, 3-1 Region 8-3A) in a battle for second place. Region leader Cherokee Bluff (5-1, 3-0 Region 8-3A) travels to East Forsyth in a non-region showdown.
