Oakwood Police search for lottery ticket thieves; $2,000 reward offered

Oakwood Police are seeking the public's help in identifying three suspects accused of stealing $200 worth of lottery tickets from a convenience store.

The suspects — three Hispanic males — used some sort of device on an electronic lottery machine to get the tickets without paying on January 14, said Todd Templeton, Oakwood Police investigator.

"They then left the premises in a black Ford Expedition, an older model," said Templeton in a phone interview.

The suspects are not believed to be armed, and Templeton said they appear to be in their 20s, all of average build and height.

"The three subjects were wearing clothes that led us to believe they possibly were painters. There's a lot of paint and what-not on the clothing they were wearing," said Templeton.

Crime Stoppers of Atlanta is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case.
