A stolen vehicle was reportedly stopped in front of the outlet mall in Dawson County after entering from Lumpkin County.
According to the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO), deputies were alerted by Flock cameras Thursday afternoon of the vehicle entering the county on Ga. 400.
They located the vehicle and conducted a felony stop.
The passenger allegedly refused to exit the vehicle at first, but deputies were able to get them out eventually.
Both the driver and passenger were taken into custody without incident.
“Dawson County may be growing and changing, but one thing that is not changing is our commitment to staying tough on crime,” a Facebook post Thursday afternoon said.
The sheriff’s office said charges for both individuals will be announced soon.
