High school fishing championship set for Lake Lanier Sat.

GAINESVILLE -  The Bass Federation (TBF) and FLW, the world’s largest tournament-fishing organization, have partnered to present the 2015 High School Fishing Southeastern Conference Championship tournament Saturday at Laurel Park on Lake Lanier. East Hall is one of the schools expected to compete.

The tournament is open to High School Fishing teams from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, that finished in the top 10 percent from their State Championship tournament.  The teams are competing for a shot at the national championship.

It is a two-person (team) event for students in grades 7-12. Takeoff will be at 7:30 a.m. and weigh-in will be held at the boat ramp, scheduled for 3:00 p.m. High School Fishing takeoffs and weigh-ins are free and open to the public.
