CLEVELAND - Business owners in and around Cleveland are being urged to check their business security following a burglary, and the theft of some tools from a work site in Cleveland.
Cleveland Police Chief John Foster said the burglary was at White County Farmers Exchange on South Main Street (Highway 129), while the theft of some tools was at a construction site next to Walmart on Donald E. Thurmond Parkway on the city's south end.
Foster said both incidents occurred late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning.
Not a lot of details are being released at this time, but Foster said the investigation is continuing in both cases.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was requested to assist with the incident at White County Farmers Exchange.
Foster advises all business to make sure all doors and windows are secured and to ensure they provide plenty of light inside the business as well as outside.
