Oakwood businessman named top performer for United Community Bank

Blairsville – United Community Bank is recognizing 15 top performing individuals and bank teams who exhibited sales and service excellence during the second quarter. The recognition is part of the bank’s quarterly Sales and Service Champion program.
 
“We are pleased to recognize and honor these employees for going the extra mile day after day,” said Jimmy Tallent, Chief Executive Officer of United Community Bank. “I am eternally grateful to be part of a company that is always committed to doing that little bit of extra. I thank you so much for what you do and what you stand for.”
 
Jay Burkett was recognized as the top producers for the second quarter. Burkett is a Top Financial Advisor based in Cleveland, but also works throughout the North Georgia region in Gainesville, Murrayville and Oakwood.
 
During the second quarter, United Community Bank encouraged customers to consider and utilize mortgage services at the Bank. Four teams were recognized for their success in these efforts: Adairsville, Ga., Greenville, S.C., Gilmer County, Ga. and North Carolina. ions Updatestate Business Journal and GSA Business
 
Among the bank’s 104 offices throughout the southeast, the top six bank teams recognized during the second quarter include offices in Savannah (White Bluff), Savannah (Bull Street), Oakwood and Canton (Bridgemill), Ga, Lenoir City, Tenn. and Greenville, South Carolina.
 
Top performing individuals and bank teams were honored July 23 at a Sales and Service Award luncheon. Top performing individuals received a framed certificate and lapel pin. The winning bank teams will receive a catered group lunch, framed certificate and traveling trophy for display in the office.
 
Additionally, the Bank selected one Champion from the group to receive a $500 donation toward the charity of their choice to be awarded within their community. This quarter’s winner was the Adairsville team, represented by Scott Tucker. The Adairsville team selected Bartow County Boys and Girls Club as the recipient of the donation.
