The Gainesville Kiwanis Club issued its 2025 John W. Jacobs Memorial Awards for excellence in law enforcement.
The awards were given out Tuesday at the club's meeting at First Baptist Church on Green Street. An award was given to one member each of various law enforcement offices across Hall County.
The award winners are listed below:
- Gainesville Police Department: Sgt. Chris Jones
- Flowery Branch Police Department: Sgt. Christopher Compton
- Hall County Sheriff's Office: Sgt. Brian Rae
- Georgia State Patrol Post 6: TFC Akintunde Monds
- Georgia Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division: Cpl. Jonathan Segars
- Lanier Technical College Police Department: Cpt. Steve Carey
