Forsyth County burglary suspect charged, alleged accomplice dies at crime scene

CUMMING - A Gainesville man died in Forsyth County Saturday morning, at the scene of a burglary he was allegedly committing with another man.

Deputies with the sheriff's office responded around 7:00 a.m. to the report of a deceased man at 8290 Browns Bridge Road, according to Deputy Epifanio Rodriguez.

Authorities found the body of Joseph Pollard, 42, of Gainesville, when they arrived.  Investigators believe Pollard and Jeffery Chester, 51, of Cumming, were committing a burglary when Pollard died, according to Rodriguez.

Deputies said Chester returned to the scene after authorities initially responded.  He was charged with burglary.

While the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is conducting an autopsy for cause of death, Rodriguez said no foul play is suspected in Pollard's death.
