Hall educator awarded scholarship by state education group

 GAINESVILLE - A Hall County educator has received a $1,000 Professional Scholarship from the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE) Foundation.

Nicholas John Scheman is a teacher, the Science Department Chairman and  Renaissance Academy Director at Chestatee High School.  He is furthering his education at Piedmont College in Demorest.

According to the PAGE Foundation's Website, recipients of the scholarships must be pursuing a graduate degree in education or content area, working to add a new certification area or endorsement, or taking required coursework to be highly qualified under the standards of No Child Left Behind.  Five of them were recently awarded.
