LILBURN—Gwinnett County police are searching the Yellow River a missing teenager.
14-year-old Jaheem McGhee was last seen Thursday when he and three friends decided to cross the river. Three of them made it across, and his friends say McGhee was last seen floating down the river.
McGhee is described as black, 5'5" and 120 pounds.
According to a release from Gwinnett Police Cpl. Michele Pihera, authorities weren't notified of the incident until late Friday, and once they got word they immediately started searching.
Officers searched from the ground and air Saturday, while cadaver dogs were also used, which is standard protocol.
The search stopped at nightfall and resumed Sunday morning.
