Hall school's 5th-graders to make cards for soldiers

By Ken Stanford Contributing Editor

FLOWERY BRANCH - The Atlanta Falcons Women’s Association is coming to Friendship Elementary School Thursday with representatives from the American Red Cross for a special event.

They are bringing the art supplies for all of the fifth grade students for use in making holiday cards and letters members of the Armed Forces.  The group is also sponsoring a special Thanksgiving lunch at the school.

The Atlanta Falcons Women’s Association is comprised of the wives of Falcons players, coaches and staff, who assist with various community service initiatives throughout the season. Friendship fifth grade teacher Annette Taylor helped to make the event possible when she signed the school up for some special community outreach programs sponsored by the Falcons and their official affiliate organizations.
