GAINESVILLE — Despite being a No. 3 seed from Area 8-AAAA, the North Hall girls volleyball team advanced to the quarterfinals in the Class AAAA state tournament with an impressive 3-0 sweep of Ridgeland Tuesday night at home.
The Lady Trojans won 25-15, 25-13, 25-19 behind Autumn Tucker, who had six kills, seven aces, and three digs.
Melissa DeVerter added eight kills and five blocks, Lily Paschall had 16 assists, three aces, and two kills, and Bly Belcher had five kills, six digs, and three aces for North Hall. Makenzie Bryant had 10 digs, and Lena Strickland and Caroline Brady each had six digs.
The Lady Trojans next will play in the quarterfinals after the teams are reseeded.
