GAINESVILLE — Gainesville fell to Ola Tuesday night in the second round of the Class AAAAA girls state volleyball tournament.
The Lady Red Elephants, who finished the season 36-12, lost in straight sets 25-23, 25-22, 25-20.
Savannah Roys paced Gainesville with 24 assists and 11 digs and Sydney King had 22 digs. Caroline Mercer added two digs, Bessie Winston had 12 kills and four digs, and Sally Callahan added 12 digs for the Lady Red Elephants.
Tanai Watson had eight kills and 13 digs, Abby Alexander had three kills, and Anna Wylie added three kills, two aces, four digs, and two blocks for Gainesville.
