Gainesville, Hall, other area school districts lauded for 'excellent financial reporting'

ATLANTA - The state Department of Audits and Accounts has named the recipients of its Award of Distinction for Excellent Financial Reporting for Fiscal Year 2013.

The Gainesville and Hall County school districts and several other school systems in northeast Georgia are among them.

These awards are presented to organizations that submit quality financial statements and supporting documentation in a timely manner, whose annual financial report is given an unmodified audit opinion and is free of any significant deficiencies or material weaknesses, and comply with all Transparency in Government requirements.
