Lakeview Academy participates in The Hour of Code (VIDEO)

GAINESVILLE - Students at Lakeview Academy are joining The Hour of Code learning event this week, which is Computer Science Education Week, an event expected to reach tens of millions of students in 170+ countries.<br /> <br /> Lower School students in grades 1-5 at Lakeview will learn or develop their coding/programming skills during their Technology classes. Middle School students will participate on Dec. 9 and 11 during their Physical Education classes and Upper School students will &#8203;have the option to participate on Dec. 10 and 12 during their study hall or enrichment classes.&#8203; <br /> <br /> The Hour of Code is designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics, a 21st Century skill Lakeview officials say will further prepare their students and will provide the tools and resources to develop their passion in this area.<br /> <br /> (See below for a link to a related video.)
