The Mason-Scharfenstein Museum of Art will host a public reception for its new show “Quiet Reflections - Photograms by Ann Beason and Merri Lawrence” on Thursday, Aug. 21.
Piedmont University said the first showing of Quiet Reflections will be shown during the reception from 4:30 to 6:30 P.M.
Artists Beason and Lawrence create photograms based on their shared love of nature. They make overlooked plants into ‘hauntingly beautiful compositions.’
They were inspired by their study of nineteenth-century processes used by inventor and photographic pioneer Henry Fox Talbot.
The museum is at 567 Georgia Street, Demorest, GA 30535.
