GHCC kicking off annual membership drive Thursday

GAINESVILLE - The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce (GHCC) will kick off its annual membership drive at Thursday's Business After Hours.

The Longstreet Clinic will host the event from 5:00-7:00 at its headquarters on Jesse Jewell Parkway.

Chamber Vice Chair of Membership Tony Paramore, Gainesville Paint & Design, is heading up the membership drive. Over 50 volunteers are gearing up to recruit 100 new Chamber members and are offering a host of incentives.

Paramore said Chamber membership has become an essential tool for businesses of every size.

"Instead of [saying] 'Hey, you need to join the Chamber because you're in business,' it's much more of 'here's what the Chamber can do for you,'" said Paramore. "And, the Chamber is doing a bunch of new stuff, too, to help people who are coming out of tough economic times."

The campaign ends on September 18.
