Police make three arrests in Winder burglary ring

WINDER - Winder Police have made three arrests in what they're calling a burglary ring. A search of a house led to multiple flat screen televisions and other stolen electronics.

"Such as game systems, a laptop computer, a DVD player, just kind of a number of other electronic items," Officer Chris Cooper said.

Two women, 27 year old Zenobia Griffin and 20 year old Dacquiri Huff face multiple charges related to about seven burglaries and several attempted burglaries. A 16 year old also faces charges.

Police said Detectives Rikki Banks and Gregg Teatino were doing a follow-up on the cases Wednesday. While speaking to Griffin at her home, they spotted what they believed was a stolen TV. That's when they got a search warrant.

Police are working with the Barrow County Sheriff's Office as well.

"We are trying to continue our investigation. We believe there may be some additional burglaries that have occurred outside the city limits," Cooper said.

The women currently face multiple counts of burglary, criminal attempt to commit burglary, felony theft by taking, misdemeanor theft by taking, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, cruelty to children, fraudulently obtaining a controlled substance and false report of a crime.

Police were awaiting mugshots of the duo.
