By Will Daughtry News Reporter

The Kiwanis Club of North Gwinnett announced it will hold their annual father-daughter Valentine’s Day dances on Feb. 7 and 8.

According to the Kiwanis Club of North Gwinnett, this marks their 16th year of bringing dads, father figures, grandfathers, and daughters together for the event.

In a release, they said that the dance has grown from 188 attendees at their first installment to now having to host three dances over two evenings.

Those dances will be Friday, Feb. 7 from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 8 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

They will be held at the Braselton Civic Center located at 27 E Lake Dr., Braselton, Georgia.

The dance is modeled after high school proms with light hors d’ouevres at the first two dances and assorted desserts at the last dance Saturday night.

Professional photographers will also be present, and each lady is presented with a long-stem red rose as they depart.

Tickets can be purchased here. All proceeds from the dance will be reinvested back into the community in the form of scholarships for area high school seniors or for other children-related needs.
