UNDATED - Some forecasters say north Georiga may get 4-8 inches of rain as the remnants of Tropical Storm Lee move through the area over the next few days.
The Weather Channel's Jennifer Narramore tells Georgia News Network "We're looking at mainly late Sunday, starting to see a few showers and storms working in and then some rain, pretty heavy at times, through Sunday night and Monday and into Tuesday and into the Wednesday time frame, as well."
Most of north Georgia is expected to get around four inches of rain with the chance of eight inches or so confined to the mountains.
The rain is not likely to be a drought-buster but should put a dent into rainfall deficits across north Georgia. Most of Georgia is now considered in a drought.
