GAINESVILLE - Two Hall County men were recently promoted to new positions with the state Department of Transportation.<br />

Jason Dykes is now the Assistant District Utilities Engineer for Northeast Georgia.<br />
<br />
Dykes has worked with DOT since 2002. He started his career as a Civil Engineering Technologist working in the District Design Office. Most recently, he served as Assistant Area Engineer for Construction in Dawson, Forsyth and Hall Counties. Dykes' new duties as Assistant District Utilities Engineer will begin Wednesday. He will be responsible for the utility coordination on all construction and maintenance projects with the 150 utility companies in Northeast Georgia's District One.<br />

SHANE WELLBORN<br />

Shane Wellborn is now DOT's District Survey Data Engineer for the 21 counties in Northeast Georgia that comprise District One.<br />
<br />
Wellborn began his career with DOT in 2002. Most recently, Welborn served as Assistant Survey Data Engineer. His new duties as Survey Data Engineer will also begin Wednesday.
