ATLANTA - Georgia Trend magazine's 2011 "40 under 40" honorees include one northeast Georgian.

This is the 15th group of what the magazine calls "rising stars under the age of 40...(who) represent business, government, education, nonprofits and the arts."

The list includes Dr. J. Clark Hill III, owner of Hill-Medical Group, P.C.

While including Dr. Hill among the "40 under 40" honorees, Georgia Trend notes "the hospital in Commerce was in debt and on the verge of closing" when he stepped in.

"Fearing his rural community would be underserved, Dr. Hill mobilized a group of physician-investors and a Tennessee-based company to save Northridge Medical Center, which today is reinvesting its profits," the article states.

Georgia Trend says it assembles its annual "40 under 40" selections from a "formidable" stack of nominations submitted by its readers, selecting a group of people who are making a difference in Georgia.
