GAINESVILLE - Hall County elementary school parents may need some tutoring to completely understand the new standards based report card now being issued to all first- and second-grade and kindergarten students.
School Superintendent Will Schofield said this week the new foremat does not just give a grade.
"So instead of just getting a 'satisfactory or 'unsatisfactory' in reading, all the elements in reading are broken down," Schofield said, using reading as an example.
The Standards Based cards are being issued under a pilot project: Schofield said the card offers more information to parents on how their students are performing and learning.
