Section of Dixon Dr. closed

GAINESVILLE - A section of a heavily-used street in north Gainesville is closed to through traffic this morning.

Dixon Drive is closed between Wessel Road and Chestatee Road because of storm drain repairs.

It is expected to reopen about noon.

Dixon is used as a bypass around downtown by many motorists trying to get from the north side of Gainesville to the west side.
