White County Industrial Building Authority reactivated

CLEVELAND - The White County Industrial Building Authority has been reactivated after a few years of dormancy. 

The authority was pulled together Monday to approve a resolution that gives White County Commissioners the authority to proceed with the sale of construction bonds for the White County Detention Center expansion.

The first order of business at a meeting was the election of  officers. James Staton was elected Chairman; Marc Greene, Vice-Chairman and Kendyl Brock Hunter, Secretary.

The board after some discussion about the resolution voted 3-1 for approval. Board member Cleveland Mayor Don Stanley abstained from voting because he has some concerns about the wording regarding the authorityâ
