The Barrow County Utility Division announced Friday that it will be unable to accept payments June 30-July 1 as the county’s payment processing software undergoes routine maintenance.
“During the year-end maintenance, we will be unable to accept online and in-person payment of water and sewer bills; however, bank drafts will be unaffected,” Chris Yancey, Barrow County Public Works Director, said.
The county said utility bills are due the 20th of each month, and late fees will not be further accrued while the payment system is offline.
The system is expected to come back online during the day July 1. Citizens who have questions about their billing may call (770) 307-3014 to speak with a representative.
