Tax assessor resigns

GAINESVILLE - A member of the Hall County Board of Tax Assessors has resigned effective March 1.

County spokeswoman Nikki Young confirmed Tuesday morning that Terrell Gaines is stepping down "for health reasons." The board of tax assessors has been under the microscope, off-and-on, for the past two years for one reason or another. (See earlier stories.)
