GAINESVILLE - A partner in a longtime Gainesville insurance firm - Roy Turner Senior - died Sunday.
Turner was a partner in Turner, Wood & Smith Insurance.
According to the company website, he joined the agency in 1954. It had been founded in 1905 as the I.J. Whitworth Agency.
Turner died at his home at the age of 87.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
