By Ken Stanford
CUMMING - A wreck in Forsyth County late Tuesday that involved a dump truck and an SUV left the driver of the SUV seriously injured.

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office says it happened about 5:00 at the intersection of Peachtree Parkway and the entrance to Brookwood Common Shopping Center.

The accident is still under investigation at this time but investigators say the truck hit the left side of the other vehicle in the driver's door. The truck was traveling west on Peachtree Parkway and the SUV was coming out of the shopping center.

The driver of the truck - Michael Eugene Bingham, 40, Flowery Branch - was not injured. But the SUV driver - Christie Powell Thoss, 40, Alpharetta - was taken to Atlanta Medical Center by Life Flight and was in serious but stable condition late Wednesday morning. Her son, Christian Thoss, 3, was taken to Children's Health Care of Atlanta, where he was treated and released.
