UNDATED - At least six deaths are now attributed to the cold and ice in Georgia.
The latest: two men found dead of exposure in Canton, apparently after a drinking binge.
Canton Police say they were found behind a strip mall Tuesday and likely died from exposure to the frigid elements. They were found behind the Harmon Center in the 550 block of Marietta Road -- a popular hangout spot, according to Canton police, who said there was no indication of foul play.
Det. G. Alan Rivas said, "They had apparently been on a drinking binge." Rivas added their bodies were well-preserved by the cold.
According to Georgia News Network, only one of the men, a 39-year-old from Guatemala, has been identified, though police are not releasing his name because they've been unable to locate any family members. His roommate said he last saw him two weeks ago. The other man was believed to be homeless, Rivas said.
The other deaths attributed to the snow and ice in north Georgia include two Gwinnett County teens who fell through ice on a pond and died; a Jonesboro homeless man who died of exposure; and an icy car crash that killed an Acworth woman.
