Arizona man charged in Internet case

By The Associated Press
PHOENIX - Authorities say an Anthem, Arizona, man - being investigated by the Forsyth County, Georgia, Sheriff's Office - has been arrested and booked into jail on one count of furnishing harmful images to a minor.

Phoenix police say 46-year-old Jimmy Dean Matkins was a subject of an Internet Crimes against Children investigation.

They say Matkins was investigated by the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office for furnishing harmful images to minors over the Internet.

Police investigators interviewed Matkins at his home in the Phoenix suburb of Anthem and say he made admissions to the offense.

They say a search warrant was executed and several items of evidence were seized.

Police did not immediately disclose the exact nature of the harmful images Matkins was accused of sending, but they say he used several Internet identities.
