CUMMING - A deer gets the blame for a wreck that shut down two roads near Cumming for several hours early Thursday.
The driver of the tractor-trailer that flipped over on Matt Road near Browns Bridge Road about 3:30 says the big rig overturned after he swerved to miss a deer that darted into his path.
Capt. Frank Huggins of the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office says the truck then overturned, dumping its entire load of 50,000 pounds of chicken feed "into the middle of Matt Road."
Huggins says the truck driver - who was on his way from Ball Ground to North Carolina - was not injured.
It was not until about 10:00 that the roads were reopened.
