GAINESVILLE - A Gainesville man is recovering from stab wounds suffered over the weekend during a domestic altercation on Dixon Drive.
Gainesville Police Sgt. Sgt. Johnny Ray said officers went to the home after receiving a 911 hang-up call.
According to Sgt. Ray, Sam Harben, 45, told officers police he was cut on one hand when he tried to defend himself after his wife, Amber Ferguson, attacked him with a knife during an argument.
The 40-year-old Ferguson was arrested and charged with battery and aggravated assault. She's also charged with interference with an emergency call for allegedly disconnecting the phone during the altercation... preventing Harben from calling 911.
The incident happened about 10:15 Saturday night. Sgt. Ray said Mr. Harben was treated at the scene by paramedics who responded along with police.
