State grants awarded East Ellijay, Fannin Co.

ATLANTA - Two northeast Georgia communities are the recipients of grants from the state for volunteer programs and land conservation.

Fannin County is getting a $10,000 challenge grant to help establish a community-based volunteer management program.

Meanwhile, East Ellijay will use $40,000 to acquire a bottomland forest along the Cartecay River.
