HCS-TV to feature cycling, tennis, and lifting

GAINESVILLE - Spring-time sports with a dash of the Tour de Georgia and high school weightlifting are highlighted this week on Hall County Sports Television.

North Hall soccer coaches Paul Brown and Kenny Childs are on the show along with East Hall baseball coach John Hardison , Chestatee baseball coach Stewart Bailey, and War Eagle pitcher Cory Williamson.

The Region 7-AAA championship tennis coaches - Roger Fannon of North Hall and John McFall of West Hall - are on the show along with some of their athletes: Rachel Langman, Jessica Butts and Hayley Crowder of the Lady Trojans; and Will Pate and A.J. Weiss of the Spartans; plus highlights of the championship matches.

HCS-TV also has highlights of last Saturday's Southeast Regional High School Weightlifting Meet held at Flowery Branch. Featured interviews include coach Stan Luttrell of second place Chestatee and some of his athletes: JoJo Sweet, Tannis Pritchett, and Marshall Paul; coach C.J. Stockel of third place Flowery Branch and Falcon athlete Andrew Holcomb; and coach Mike Srock of team champion Byrnes of South Carolina.

Footage from Saturday's Lake Lanier Islands sixth stage of the Tour de Georgia bicycle race is also on this week's program.

The show is hosted this week by Garry Glenn and Dick Hoard.

Hall County Sports is seen each week on Charter Communications Channel 23
at 9 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. Saturday, and 9 p.m. Sunday.
