Region 8-5A will take center stage on Wednesday with several key matchups around the area, including Jackson County and Habersham Central both being at home.
The Panthers (6-5, 0-0 Region 8-5A) will be opening their region slate taking on Alcovy (0-12, 0-1 Region 8-5A), while the Raiders (7-6, 1-1 Region 8-5A) bring in Winder-Barrow (6-3, 0-1 Region 8-5A) to open a two-game series.
Meanwhile, Gainesville (2-10, 0-3 Region 8-5A) is still looking for its first Region 7-5A win of the season and will play Milton on Wednesday at Ivey-Watson.
And North Forsyth (9-6, 1-3 Region 8-5A) will resume its series with first-place North Atlanta (9-2, 4-0 Region 8-5A) in Atlanta, trying to shake off a tough start to region play.
In all, just five games are on tap involving nine area teams on Wednesday
