OAKWOOD - The Rehabilitation Institute in Oakwood, an outpatient satellite clinic of Northeast Georgia Medical Center, is celebrating its 15th anniversary.
The clinic provides outpatient physical therapy services. It is staffed full time by two physical therapists, Cindy Hurlbert, PT, MS, and Beth Arms, PT, who combined, have more than 60 years of clinical experience.
The center is located next to the Neighborhood Healthcare Center in Oakwood at 3931 Mundy Mill Road, Suite B, near the new Wal-Mart. During the past 15 years, the center has undergone three major renovations resulting in additional space and equipment. The facility is anticipating a fourth renovation.
"We're proud to be a part of the long-term growth in the South Hall corridor," says Hurlbert. "We find that our patients who live, work and go to school in the South Hall community are thankful for the convenience of our location for their physical therapy needs. Currently, almost half of our active patients have been here before and choose to return because they were pleased with our service."
Hurlbert and Arms have both worked at the clinic since it opened in 1992. Hurlbert holds a bachelor of science degree in physical therapy from Russell Sage College and a master of science degree in orthopedic physical therapy from Georgia State University. Arms earned her bachelor of science degree at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.
